in 2002, compared with last year.

Finance posts 800pc growth in home loans |

AMLAK Finance, Emaar's mortgage subsidiary,
yesterday announced that it has posted 800
per cent growth both in the number of home
loans and in the loan amount dispersed for
the year 2002 compared to the previous year.
A Press release from the company, however,
did not give the figures, but said that
the unprecedented demand for home loans
is expected to continue. Farooq Arjomand,
vice-chairman of Amlak Finance, said: "Following
the launch of several real-estate development
projects in Dubai, the market has really
taken off in the past year and has precipitated
unprecedented demand for home finance options,
which we expect to continue."
